Odradeks series
2018
Series of painted steel sculptures. Its title comes from Kafka‘s story “The Cares of a Family Man” in which a man worries about a living object showing up in different places of his home.
These sculptures derive almost directly from the practice of drawing, as they stand in between flatness and volume. They are drawn sculptures.
They start as sketches on paper which then I cut on paper or acetate to figure out how they‘ll stand. Some of these sketches I then laser cut on metal sheets, which I later paint using enamel or automotive paint.
